Why does the battery on my RV760, CB760 or TX760 sat nav not hold charge when connected to the vehicle charger?

The TX760, CB760 and RV760 sat navs incorporate a special charging cycle designed to improve the health and prolong the life of the battery. The car charger will initially charge the battery to 100% capacity but once it reaches this level, the charger will automatically stop charging and the battery will be allowed to reduce to around 50% capacity before starting to charge again. This unique battery management technology, adjusts the electrical conditions during charging to match the requirements of the battery chemistry, significantly improving the batteries long-term health.
