As Spring approaches many people will be getting ready to go on their first trip of the year. Whether you are thinking of going abroad or staying in the UK, we have a couple of tips to help you get the most out of your Aguri Motorhome & Caravan sat nav.
1. Update the software and mapping on your sat nav before you leave!
There have been a lot of road changes over the last few months and quite a few software improvements designed to make your sat nav operate better and route more effectively. 2. Use the Specialist POI data to calculate a route to your chosen campsite.
Routing to a campsite using a postcode can produce varying results and can be inaccurate. This is especially true when travelling in the countryside or if you are driving in France and Spain. The French and Spanish postcode system can often cover very large areas and when used in a sat nav can often lead you to a different location from the one you wanted to get to! The Specialist POI data supplied on the device includes over 30,000 campsites and the coordinate of the entrance of each of them has been accurately plotted. As a result when you calculate a route to a Specialist POI, you will be directed to the campsite entrance, whereas the post code location could be quite a long way from where you need to be!

3. Route by coordinate.
Many of the campsite guide books now include the coordinate of the campsite as well as the address. As mentioned above, routing to a coordinate is much more accurate than routing to an address or post code. So, if you see a coordinate, you should definitely use it! It might take a little while to get used to entering coordinates, but it will be well worth the effort as you will be routed directly to the entrance of the campsite. It is by far the most accurate navigation tool and you will get much better results out of your sat nav if you use it.
